Duration: 3 hours
In the “Hiding and Helping” seminar, young people learn the conditions for Jews going into hiding and for those who helped them during the period of Nazi persecution. Based on objects and images in the exhibition as well as biographical materials, they research stories of Jews who went into hiding and their helpers. They are concerned thereby with questions such as: What did someone need in order to survive in hiding? How could people help Jews? What risks did the Jews and their helpers take? Different forms of assistance and motives become apparent.
