Tours

The Silent Heroes Memorial Center offers tours of the permanent exhibition free of charge for pre-registered groups of 10 to 35 people. The tours are designed for young people from the age of 13 or German 8th grade, for college students, and for educators or other adult groups.

Tours are based on a dual perspective in which we deal with the life stories of Jews persecuted during the Nazi period as well as with the lives of their helpers. In conversation with tour participants, various aspects of resistance to the persecution of the Jews are illuminated using specific examples. Subjects of discussion include the risks this meant for everyone involved, the living conditions of those in hiding, and the motives of those who helped.

Tours last roughly 75 minutes. When registering you can also request a specific theme that will be discussed in greater detail within the scope of the tour. We offer the following tours:

  • General tour
  • Networks of helpers
  • In hiding in Berlin
  • Assistance for children and young people
  • Women in resistance against the Nazi persecution of Jews
  • Helpers in uniform
