The seminars last 3 hours and also include a visit to the permanent exhibition of the Silent Heroes Memorial Center.
Participants deal with the conditions faced by Jews who went underground or into hiding as well as those faced by their helpers. Jews and helpers are viewed as having carried out acts of resistance; their decisions required considerable courage. It will also be clearly shown that very few people were willing to help those facing persecution.
We focus on how and why people resisted the Nazi persecution of the Jews and what leeway they had to do so under the conditions of dictatorship and war.
The seminars work with photos and documents in the permanent exhibition. We use diverse methods in conveying the content. An important aspect is the independent work of the young adults, who present and discuss their findings in various forms at the end of each seminar.
We recommend that seminar participants have some prior knowledge of the National Socialist persecution of the Jews.
All events are offered free of charge.
Please book at least six to eight weeks prior to your desired date via our online registration form.
